What is the connection between the color wheel and pigments? Well each color of pigments is composed of primary and secondary color, which becomes a warm or cold color.

How to read chromatic circle?

We have 2 types of colors:

  • Warm colors
  • Cold colors

Pale pigments have more yellow base

Dark pigments have more blue and red base

 

Corrective colors:

  • Green color-correcting red
  • Yellow color-correcting purple
  • Orange color-correcting blue

Golden Rule:

Always look to the opposite of the circle:
